What should a honorary bridesmaid wear for the wedding ceremony?

I want to know if she has to wear a dress similar to the bride or to the order bridesmaids. What roles does she play at the wedding?

What should a honorary bridesmaid wear for the wedding ceremony?
I feel the role %26amp; duties of an honorary bridesmaid would be completely up to the bride. Since it's not a "traditional" role, she could have as many or as few duties as you'd like to give her. It would likely make her feel more part of the group if she had a color or style of dress that's similar to the other bridesmaids. And if the maid-of-honor has too many things to do, showers, etc., she could have the honorary bridesmaid assist her if that suits everyone

I suggest checking http://theknot.com/ - they have wonderful information about all things wedding related! You might find a tip or suggestion there that answers all of your questions.

Good luck!

Reply:she wears one simiular to the other bridesmaid. but its slightly differernt
Reply:If she is the maid of honor, you can have her wear a dress that is similar in design to the others or she can have something altogether different-it's your day, your choice. She is the one that stands up at the alter or in front of the JOP (justice of the peace) with you. Additionally, If there is a shower or reception prior to your wedding she should be the hostess.
Reply:Never wear anything similar to the bride. You should wear the same color as the bridesmaid dresses in a different style if there dresses are long then you wear short (not hoochie short). as far as the roles...I would say that you be there to assist the bride in any way whether it be helping her to get dress or making sure the bridesmaids have everything.
Reply:yes i have some tips for you on that one
Reply:I would wear a dress in the same color, but a little less formal (if they're wearing satin, you could wear a shorter chiffon dress, for example). That way you look like a part, without looking like you're trying to butt in on being a bridesmaid.
