Please can anyone help, we need sunflowers to use as a cut flower at a wedding in September. When is the best time to sow them? We live in Cornwall in the UK,many thanks for your help.
When should I plant sunflowers for a September wedding?
Now!!! And don't plant one of those single-flowered giant headed varieties. Go for a variety that has several smaller flowers per plant. They look much nicer and are easier to grow.
Reply:now...go with diff varieties....if you plant large head ones...they will need to be supported and protected from birds that want the seeds
