What percentage of your wedding expenses would you allow for your wedding album and photographer fees?

What is your age? Gender? Would you fall in low, middle or high income catagory? Do you think Americans spend more than other nationalities? Do you think east coast, midwest or west coast spends more? Why do you think some people greatly value a fine art album and others are happy with snap shots? Basically, why do some people cross over into desiring a love story book of their wedding day and others just want to be married?

What percentage of your wedding expenses would you allow for your wedding album and photographer fees?
Not sure of % or what the typical american spend is, I am a UK based wedding photographer and belong to a nuimber of international forums.

The US photographers seem to play a major role in weddings in the US, It seems most produce Love story books which take a lot of effort to produce and so naturally command a high price.

Australian Photographers and Albums are the "IN" fashion at the moment many international %26amp; US photograpers are offering larger Australian Albums - US %26amp; Australia seem to be leading the world at present.

The UK market is a bit smaller and brides as whole devote less money to photography, prices start from under $800 but go up to $6000

Reply:I would worry more about the quality of the photographer first. Then ask about the cost of the prints - they charge much less for taking the pictures than they charge for the prints. Ask about the prints and decide on which pictures to get after the wedding.

And I wish you a very blessed marriage - go forth and multiply. Lord knows how I yearn for children born in wedlock.
