I need some ideas for a wedding guest book?

I'm in charge of making the guest book for an upcoming wedding. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with this and what would be an easy and cheap [but very nice quality] way to do this? I'd like some unique ideas. Thanks!

Forget the guest book. They actually sell nice autograph picture frames now. You place a nice candid black %26amp; white photo of the couple in the center of a very large Black picture frame. The photo is surrounded by a large white matting where guests sign in (using a fine black marker) when they arrive and write little personal messages. Add the glass on top afterwards. It's a nice keepsake the couple can hang in their home for a long time.
Reply:If you have time, you would get an album like one uses for scrapbooking. You could draw the lines for names yourself with a ruler and fineline pen as the pages come out, and then decorate it after the wedding with some candid photos of the people who signed. If the wedding is too big, you could just add a few photos and embellishments.

www.paperwishes.com would have some great supplies for it or Ebay. Sounds like fun!!
Reply:Acquire a Ritzy Hotel registry book to use as guest book.

How about a novel idea like using a nice piece of silk fabric for guests to sign in on and leave personal messages. Then you can turn it into a nice wall hanging or use as part of a wall quilt. Then when you have an anniversary party you can invite all who signed the guest registry.

Another novel idea is to blow up your picture to life size and have the guests sign it.

How about having all your guests sign the guest book in ink and then have them put their thumb print in a different color next to their name.

Use a scroll to sign names on.

Use a restaraunt order pad to have people sign in on.

Have people sign a dollar bill and pin it to a small evergreen tree.
Reply:I just went to my sisters 25th wedding anniversary and what she did was had a photographer there who took a photo of each family/couple etc when you had you photo taken you went to write in the book, we had our own page in a beautiful book which had a slot for your photo and you wrote your message to her and her husband on your page. it was a wonderful idea and evryone loved it. the book was lovely. it was about a3 size with black pages and all the writing was in silver pen. really great idea. will do the same for me one day!
Reply:you can set down and make a list of all youre closest friends and think of the ones that you might want to be in youre guest book and then you have youre guest book hope this helps you
Reply:Try the search engine on the net. i recently seen a site to do with weddings and it had some free software and bits. sorry i cant be more help
