What should I wear to a wedding held on a yacht in January?

It will be cold, so I'd like to wear pants. I'm just not sure if that would be too informal. The bride and groom are both laid back and are having a nautical theme (seashells %26amp; starfish, etc.) for their wedding. Any suggestions?

I would wear something pretty formal unless its a dress down wedding but from the sounds of it, it is not.





Try a nice pant suit, you will be warm and they are very dressy when done right.





Or perhaps a nice dress with a wrap or jacket.
Reply:If it is not you wedding you should were a dress if you are a girl and a tux if you are a guy but think of it this way what ever you wear since it is on a yacht just wear some thing you would wear to your own wedding dress how you think they would dress for your wedding.

would probably wear black pants in a nice, crisp fabric...


and a white button down shirt with a bright (pink, red, or coral) cable knit sweater on top. The sweater could be layered or tied around your shoulders.


Oh and pearl earrings!


I think that will look very nautical / Martha's Vineyardish. If that makes any sense haha.
