What type of gift should I take to a Turkish wedding?

My family and I have been invited to a Turkish wedding? What should I wear? Is it appropriate to take a gift? Please advise on Turkish wedding tradition.

What type of gift should I take to a Turkish wedding?
Gold. A coin or a bracelet will do.

There will be lots of kids and noise,be prepared. And when they catch your arm and pull to the stage to dance, you should first tell them " fakat ben pek anlamam", means that you don't know how to dance that way, but eventually you should go and dance. That's a tradition :D

Have fun.
Reply:Gold, we don't accept anything else :)

Seriously, we have these gold coins which are sold in every jewelry shop which cost between 30 $ to 200 $. The size depends on how close to you to the family or the couple. A 'quarter size' coin will be suitable for you, I believe.

Dress like you are going to a wedding; for man; suit and tie, for woman; nice cocktail dress or suit.

The tradition for the guests are; do as the others do . Don't say "no" to anything :)
Reply:As above said, golden coins, necklaces or bracelets. It isn't a good idea to be too stingy with it, as sooner or later you will be on the receiving end of gold and what goes around comes around. :)

Don't worry about the dancing. Just raise your arms like everybody does and make swaying movements. That will pass as an acceptable dance.
Reply:I agree with Leprechaun nobody else but Leprechaun.
