What kind of jewel makes a wedding ring?

It should be a pearl, and opal, or neccesarily a diamond?Or any kind of jewel? What do you think?

I need to buy the engagement ring and the wedding ring . Money is not an issue.

What kind of jewel makes a wedding ring?
Traditionally, engagement rings have diamonds, and wedding rings are plain (i.e. no jewel at all) bands.
Reply:Diamond and its supposed to be worth, three months worth of your salary. This is a tradition, and as its been said if you stick to tradions your marriage is more likely to last. There are many shapes to choose from. I think the large diamond with smaller bagets makes for a beautiful ring. And, no it does not have to be a diamond. Congratulations!
Reply:A womens wedding ring set can have any kind of gem in it. What kind of gems best suit your fiancee? That is how you choose what to get. Alot of women are into diamonds that are why so many women have them. But if your fiancee loves pearls or opals, emeralds or sapphires, whatever it may be. A ring is suppose to be a symbol of your love and affection. Also what kind of style is she into? (like myself I like the old fashioned antique style, because I am an old fashioned woman). That is the style of rings my husband got for me. Of course that was my first set he got me and then for our 10th wedding anniversary he ended up getting me another beautiful set that are classic. That I keep having a problem with people grabbing my hand to see. You can also take her with you and just do a little checking into what her likes are by going into some jewlry stores to see what she looks most interested in. What is catching her eye the most. Good luck and best wishes. I wish you every happiness in your coming engagement and marriage.
Reply:It is usually a diamond that makes both rings.
