I'm not sure which one to pick. I like working with kids but I think it would be interesting to be a wedding planner.
What would be a better profession to go into teaching or wedding planner?
I guess it would all depend on how much you wanna make verses how much out wanna make a difference. If you wanna make more money, be a wedding planner. But, if you wanna make more of a difference in people's lives, be a teacher. And another huge question is: how much patience do you have?
Reply:Weddings are a multi-billion dollar business and there certainly is potential to make major bucks being a wedding planner. It's interesting work, but it's also hard work. You would have to be very good at networking and marketing yourself. You'll have to build a network with other vendors (photographers, bakeries, etc.) to get referrals, and you'll have to differentiate yourself and offer something unique so that couples will hire you over the next wedding planner. If you're good at that and welcome the challenge, go for it!
If not, being a teacher does have one advantage over being a wedding planner - it's a stable occupation. It's probably not as exciting but it is rewarding. We're always in need of good teachers.
Reply:It depends on what is in higher demand. Right now teaching is in higher demand. But if you think about it, after you spend the five years of college and getting the lisence, the demand might not be the same. Another option is money. If you are looking for a job that makes alot of money, but you only get paid really well sometimes: Wedding planner. If you are looking for a job that makes a desent paycheck and rarely changing: Teacher. Its all about the demand, money, location, and of course your personal preference.
Reply:I would say wedding planner if you have a good eye in fashion and colors and decorating!
But a teacher if you want to like help little kids!
I know teaching takes alot of schooling, I'm not sure aabout wedding planners!
But they both halp people, Wedding planner by impacting the BIG day for couples, and teacher by teaching and giving kids a chance at learning!
So either is good, I know this probably doesnt help you...but I thought I should just put my input in!
Good Luck!
Reply:Do you like stress?
Would you rather deal with schoolchildren; remember that one friend you had in school who would eat a goldfish for a buck? Or the stuff of the bottom of your shoe for a buck? Well, let's be honest here. There are more children like that than not like that. And you want to try to teach these children?
Or a wedding planner. Where you are dealing with women on what most women consider their most important day ever. And you are considering being the one who they are charging with making it the greatest event ever?
Reply:being a wedding planner would be hard and stressful work, but really exciting all of the time! i would do that one. plus, you get to go to a lot of the weddings and party :-).
kids are becoming more and more disrespectful every day. i guess it would depend on the grade you chose, but anything above 3 or 4 is terrible. my mom taught 5 and came home crying every day. i have to admit this, though. i was pretty mean to my 5 grade teacher sometimes. i wrote some stuff about her in my notebook and she found my notebook and i felt so bad!!! you would also have to deal with discipline, no matter what grade.
Reply:Teaching...
First of all, it is rewarding. Secondly, though you can certainly make someone's wedding perfect, you could also become the scapegoat for every thing that could go wrong that would be out of your control. Third...summer vacation. Four...pension.
Reply:well, exclude the money for a second.
which one would you rather do?
help and work with children %26amp; make their future better in the education dept?
or.
help and work with couples trying to make their dream weddings come true.
both are helping people, but wedding planners have it more rough that teachers do.
it's a hard and difficult job.
are you up for it?
good luck on deciding:)
Reply:wedding planners are a cool job, but they are not alwas needed and it can be hard to find work, but if u are a teach than u are payed by the government, which is alwas a solide pay check, and it comes with many awsome benifets
Reply:Wedding planning would be fun, but it is high stress and it takes a huge chunk of your personal time (nights and weekends are basically out for you!). With teaching, you get paid holidays and summers off. What more could you want!?!?!
Reply:Well being a teacher takes A LOT more dedication than many people believe....People also think you summers off....BULL CRAP! If you want to be good teacher you are at school working even during the summer.....
On that note....I love it! lol
Reply:I'm thinking a teacher because it would be steady. You would'nt have to worry about getting work or buissness. You would constantly have a job, get summers off, and would have a few sick days too. Good luck with your life!
Reply:Why not do both teach school year wedding planner during the summer
Reply:It depends on if you would rather deal with bratty kids or bratty brides.
Reply:wedding planer
Reply:teaching is best
wedding planning takes up all your weekends and nights
that would suck
