How to decorate a bare trellis to shade my guests for outdoor wedding reception?

I am having my wedding reception on a balcony overlooking the sea and the overhead trellis at the restaurant is bare as the grapevine was cut down. Any suggestions on possible ways I can decorate trellis to shade my guests from the sun. Color scheme is blue and orange. Thanks

If you want shade, use either artificial vines, either grape, ivy or even roses would look spectacular.
Reply:You didn't mention how big an area you're covering, but you could use a fabric, such as this

Sew together panels, attach underneath the trellis at all four corners, then attach at intervals, making a billowing effect. You could then attach fake ivy or hang the paper lanterns, as mentioned above.

I would use a light colored fabric as it will reflect the sun, and still be light.

Maybe this site will give you an idea of the effect

Reply:I would hang beautiful paper lanterns. This is popular right now. You can see them here:
