What are some good workouts to get in shape for a wedding? Does anyone recommend taking diet pills?

I am going to be a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding in July 2009. We have already purchased the dresses and my style in strapless. I definitely want to have a toned back and arms by then. Losing weight would be ideal as well. Does anyone have any suggestions?

For the arms and back you would benefit to do upper body excercises. I would get a video on that or go to a gym or health club and see what type of equipment is used for this. They have expensive machines there but maybe you can find a modified version for a much lesser cost at some store.

If you want to tone up and slim down overall brisk walking for 30 minutes at least every other day (weather permitting outside, indoors go up and down stairs for that time amount). You can do that in sets of 10 or 15 min. at a time and still benefit. The diet pills can have side effects and none are guaranteed to work. So you take those at your own risk.

Reduce your calories to reduce weight (from 2000 to 1500 daily) and keep the fat intake low. The saying you are what you eat applies in losing weight.
Reply:-Start eating more healthy...count your calories and write them down in a notebook. If you don't know how to count calories go to google and type in "Caloric intake needs and you'll find a good cite.

-Cardio cardio cardio!! ...walking, running, biking, jump rope... Very important tool to lose weight!

-Water and lots of it!
Reply:Diet pills mostly only make you jittery, and the high levels of caffeine in them can be addictive. I would suggest that you focus on cardio and if you have access to a gym do a wide variety of training on their cybex machines. However if you don't have access to a gym resistance training is crucial to losing weight at a rapid pace. So you could try some isometric exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, squats, chair dips and things of that nature. Using your own body weight as a counterweight is often enough to jump start into a great regimen
